PUMP-UP Mentorship Program

Psychology Undergraduate Mentorship Program for Underrepresented Populations (PUMP-UP

Are you interested in having a graduate student mentor who can help you demystify the ‘hidden curriculum’ and identify and apply to psychology-related opportunities?

The Psychology Undergraduate Mentorship Program for Underrepresented Populations (PUMP-UP) is inviting undergraduate students from minoritized / underrepresented backgrounds to join our mentorship program!

This program can help you succeed as a psychology student; and help you identify and apply to:

  • Research labs at WVU
  • Internship and volunteer opportunities at WVU and in Morgantown
  • Graduate schools (and assist with developing/editing application materials!)
  • Professional organizations in psychology
  • Psychology-related job opportunities

Our program seeks to further diversity and inclusion in psychology-related disciplines. We will make every effort to match participating undergraduate students with graduate students who have shared interests (e.g., working with children, therapy, health psychology, behavior analysis, etc.).

If you are of a minoritized background and interested in being mentored by a graduate student in psychology, please complete our form:
