TRACER: Translational Research on Adverse Childhood Experiences and Resilience

Making a difference for individuals who have suffered adversity and trauma during childhood.

We are an interdisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians, policy makers, and educators who seek to mitigate long-term negative outcomes for individuals with adverse childhood experiences by disentangling risk factors and consequences of ACEs while highlighting factors that produce resilience.

We welcome individuals across disciplines to join our activities!

TRACER activities

Seminars

We aim to bring together researchers with shared interests to learn more about ongoing research projects, to share their own projects, to develop collaboration, and to serve as training opportunities for students.

See our Spring 2026 Seminar Series schedule

Training

We aim to provide interdisciplinary training in the area of early life experiences that range from adversity to resilience-producing, focusing on how this broad research question can be addressed in many domains. We welcome undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate trainees to join our activities.

See our Spring 2026 Graduate Writing Group and Workshops in Upcoming Events.

Funding

We aim to secure funding for research projects and for training activities of graduate and undergraduate students.

For research projects, TRACER aims to facilitate collaborative research projects that bridge the gap between disciplines.
