Interventions & Sessions
We are happy to share additional information about the specific evidence-based interventions we use to best support you, your partner, your child, or your family.
Sessions are typically 50 minutes in length and occur each week or every other week. The duration of therapy varies, but our clinic tends to provide targeted time-limited services. All initial sessions include a brief evaluation and clinical interview to clarify presenting concern(s) and to identify the most appropriate treatment modality.
Who is eligible for services?
Anyone may schedule an appointment. It is not necessary for individuals to be affiliated with West Virginia University to receive services at the Quin Curtis Center. Consent forms must be completed prior to the beginning of treatment. For youth clients, all legal guardians must sign consent forms before beginning treatment. Should the QCC not be suitable for the needs of a client, a referral will be made to an appropriate service provider.
What is the fee for services?
The Center operates on a sliding fee scale, based on family income, ranging from $10 to $60 per session. Assessment batteries also operate on this sliding fee scale, and the cost is based on the tests performed. The maximum assessment cost per client is $800. Financial hardship requests are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Patient Confidentiality
Visits are protected by the highest professional standards of confidentiality, as specified by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA; 1996), West Virginia state law, and the American Psychological Association’s “Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct.”
