Appalachian Activities for Dementia

A manual for caregivers

Download the manual (Word doc)

In spring 2021, a team bridging psychology and social work created this free manual in order to offer meaningful and enjoyable activities for persons with dementia and to support their caregivers. Professor of Social Work Kristina Hash, Professor of Psychology Julie Hicks Patrick and psychology doctoral student Michaela Clark developed this research-backed guide, with the aid of psychology graduate students Madeline Marello, Alexandria Ebert and Amber Rusch. Read a news release about the project.
